Students in Mr Newberry's Math class were learning about Basic Constructions on Friday. Students got a hands-on lesson about how to measure and replicate lines and angles using rulers, protractors, and a drawing compass. This was a great opportunity for students to explore their options after high school. Students met with college representatives and learned about admissions, scholarships, financial aid, and the various areas of study offered by different colleges.

Our new Math Lab is designed for hands-on, collaborative learning where students can build, move, explore, and problem-solve together. With tables instead of traditional desks and chairs, the lab gives teachers room to create activities that get students up, moving around, and actively engaged in mathematics. We’re excited to make math more active, collaborative, and memorable for our students. ✨📐 🧮✨

Key Club and Legacy Teen Science Café have been hard at work after school creating handmade blankets for those in need. Through their dedication and teamwork, students completed and delivered a total of 40 blankets to the Ronald McDonald House, a local assisted living facility, and two veterinary clinics.
This project reflects the compassion and service-minded spirit of our students, as they worked to bring comfort to families, seniors, and even animals in our community. We are incredibly proud of their efforts and the positive impact they continue to make.

We are proud to celebrate Cedric for being named a March 2026 Employee of the Month by the Academy of Craft Training! This recognition highlights his outstanding performance both in the classroom and in the shop—consistently going above and beyond in everything he does.
His instructor, Mr. Gates, shared that Cedric has shown incredible dedication over the past two months, excelled during Industry Day, and even earned a job offer as a result of his hard work. He continues to apply himself daily and represents what it means to be a driven, hardworking student.
Cedric is truly an all-around great young man, and we know he will be a valuable asset to whichever contractor he chooses to work with.

Our Commercial Transportation students had a great opportunity today as Kody Dunn from Legacy Cartage brought his truck to campus for an up-close learning experience.
Students learned about the importance of pre-trip inspections, what to look for to ensure safety on the road, and the key maintenance checks required to keep a truck running efficiently. Mr. Dunn also shared valuable insight into the real-world costs and responsibilities that come with maintaining a commercial vehicle.

From seeing real classrooms in action to learning about different career options, students walked away with a clearer vision of what they might want to pursue next year. Experiences like this help them make informed decisions and take the next step toward their future goals.

Students in the Logistics Academy recently had the opportunity to tour Educators Resource in Theodore, where they got an inside look at how a warehouse operates day-to-day.
From receiving and inventory to picking, packing, and shipping, students learned about the full process that keeps operations running smoothly. They also explored the machinery, automation, and key roles that make a warehouse efficient and successful.
Not sure what Educators Resource is? Many educational and office supplies ordered from major online retailers like Amazon and Walmart are packaged and shipped directly from their facility right here in Theodore.

Students attended an informational session titled "All about the Port: Ships, Cargo, and Seafarers," then connected with local representatives to explore maritime businesses, organizations and government entities in the Mobile area. These conversations gave them valuable insight into the wide range of maritime careers available right here in our community.
They also had the opportunity to visit the National Maritime Museum of the Gulf, where they explored exhibits and gained a deeper understanding of the maritime industry and what careers in this field can look like.
It was a great day of learning, exploration, and future career inspiration!
