Theodore High School proudly congratulates Paisley Cox on being selected as a 2026–2027 Azalea Trail Maid! Paisley embodies excellence both in and out of the classroom, serving on Varsity Volleyball, Student Council, FCA, and the Yearbook committee while maintaining A-honor-roll status in honors and dual-enrollment courses through the University of South Alabama and Bishop State. She is deeply involved in her community through St. Vincent’s Catholic Church and volunteer work at events like Dayspring’s Night to Shine. Inspired by her cousin Carter, Paisley is passionate about advocating for children with special needs and spreading kindness wherever she goes. We are incredibly proud of her accomplishments and can’t wait to see her shine as she represents our school and community with grace and leadership.

Students from the Engineering Academy and 9th Grade BOSS Program visited Shelby Hall at the University of South Alabama’s College of Engineering and Computing Sciences.

Students learned about several engineering departments, explored different career paths, and took part in hands-on activities throughout the day.

This annual event is a great opportunity for students interested in engineering to experience what it’s like to study and work in the field.

🌟 This morning, Theodore High School students gathered around the flagpole for See You at the Pole 🙏. It was inspiring to see them lifting up their friends, families, teachers, school, and nation in prayer.

From the official SYATP website:
"See You at the Pole™, the global day of student prayer, began in 1990 as a grassroots movement with ten students praying at their school. Decades later, millions pray on their campuses on the fourth Wednesday in September. See You at the Pole™ is simply a prayer rally where students meet at the school flagpole before school to lift up their friends, families, teachers, school, and nation to God. See You at the Pole™ is a student-initiated, student-organized, and student-led event."

Mr. McDonald's students dove into marine technology last week by designing, building, and testing their own remotely operated vehicles (ROVs)! Working in teams, they used creativity, problem-solving, and engineering skills to construct prototypes capable of navigating underwater and collecting simulated ocean data.

This hands-on activity not only challenged students to think like marine engineers but also highlighted how advancements in technology have transformed our ability to explore and understand deep ocean habitats. From maneuverability to data collection, students gained a first-hand look at the innovation behind ocean exploration. #PerseverancePropelsProgress #BobcatNation #ExcellenceInEducation

Our senior Health Science students are kicking off their final year in the lab as they prepare for the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) exam this spring! This capstone course builds on their journey through Foundations of Health Science and Human Body Structures and Functions, giving them hands-on training in CNA skills along with valuable clinical experiences at our industry partners’ facilities.

We’re also excited to welcome our new Health Science teacher, Ms. Miller! With a master’s in nursing and a concentration in Clinical Nurse Leadership from the University of South Alabama, she brings the knowledge and leadership to help guide our students toward success in health care careers.

By graduation, these seniors will be ready to earn an industry-recognized CNA credential—opening doors to immediate employment and future opportunities in nursing and beyond.
