May 1st we celebrated 5 senior students who signed letters of employment with local contractors through the Academy of Craft Training - Mobile (ACT). Through ACT, these students have trained in a true, hands-on, simulated jobsite environment—gaining real-world skills in Commercial Construction, Electrical Construction, HVACR & Mechanical Systems, Industrial Metal Fabrication, and Interior & Exterior Finishes. They’ve learned to read blueprints, operate tools and equipment, wire and troubleshoot electrical systems, install and maintain HVAC units, weld and fabricate materials, and complete finishing work, all while following industry safety standards and OSHA protocols. This program equips students with the technical skills, certifications, and experience needed to step directly into high-demand careers with confidence.

Senior students that completed their program at Faulkner Career Tech Center were celebrated at a completion ceremony. This is a major milestone for Faulkner Career Tech Center students who have gone above and beyond in their Career & Technical Education journey. Program Completers are students who have earned a C or higher in three or more courses within the same career tech program—demonstrating commitment, skill development, and readiness for what comes next. These students didn’t just take classes—they built real-world skills, explored career pathways, and prepared themselves for success in the workforce, college, or advanced training programs. We are proud of their hard work, dedication, and growth. This achievement reflects not only their effort, but also the support of our incredible instructors, families, and industry partners who help make these opportunities possible. We are extremely proud of Arianna Stallings, She was awarded the William Spencer Award. Also Mia Lopez Martinez was awarded the Learning Leading Award. Congratulations to both of these students. Join us in congratulating the Faulkner Career Tech Center Completers! The future is bright, and they are ready to lead the way. #CTEWorks #CareerReady #MCPSS #FaulknerCTC #WorkforceReady #StudentSuccess
