Dear George Hall Families,
As we prepare for an outstanding school year, please make sure your child is dressed according to the school uniform policy and has all required school supplies on the first day of school.
👕 Uniform Policy
Students are expected to wear:
School-approved uniform shirts
Navy bottoms
Athletic style tennis shoes only
Solid navy or red sweatshirt, jacket, or sweater
🎒 School Supplies
Please ensure your child brings all required grade-level supplies. Supply lists are available through the school and should be completed before the first day of school.

To support a safe, focused, and productive learning environment, George Hall Elementary School will implement the Alabama FOCUS Act and Mobile County Public Schools' clear backpack requirement for the 2026–2027 school year. All student cell phones, smartwatches, and electronic devices must be powered off and secured in classroom lockboxes during the school day, and all students are required to use clear backpacks. Summer Literacy Camp for George Hall students will begin on June 1, 2026, at Craighead Elementary School. Camp hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided daily, with breakfast beginning at 7:30 a.m.
If your child will ride the bus, transportation staff will contact you with route information, including pickup and drop-off times.
If you will be driving your child to camp, please use the drop-off area on Douglas Street.
Students should wear their school uniforms each day. Every child will receive a camp T-shirt that may be worn with uniform pants.
We encourage all students to attend camp daily for fun-filled learning activities. Attendance incentives will be provided!

Parents: We have made a few schedule changes for our end-of-the-year events. We will not have the picnic or Spring Fling. If you sent in money for snacks for Spring Fling, the bookkeeper will contact you. The basketball game has been rescheduled to May 21. The game is a student-only event. The Crossing Over Ceremony for fifth-graders is May 20 at 10:00 a.m. The Kindergarten Ceremony is on May 20 at noon.
